La Estrella is an area of Jaramillo home to amazing view properties and the beautiful Lucero Homes and Golf residential community. La Estrella is located a bit east of Alto Boquete and is about 15-20 minutes from downtown Boquete. It is accessible by a paved road by going over the lovely Caldera River canyon on the Wilson Bridge and through pretty, tree-filled areas that sometimes open up to fantastic views.
The altitude here ranges from about 3,600 feet to 2,000 feet providing nice temperatures all year. Much of La Estrella benefits from the Jaramillo portions of the Talamanca mountain range which provide some wind protection during the beautiful, but breezy “summer” months.
There are sometimes quite large lots for sale in or near La Estrella that have fantastic views and low prices relative to some of the other also desirable areas of Boquete.
In addition to Lucero, there is a lesser known, smaller community named Alta Vista in La Estrella. It is close to the golf course, on the other side of the road. Alta Vista is a pretty little community with a man-made lake in the center of it. There are some very nice, large homes in Alta Vista.
