Tocumen

Tocumen, a vibrant corregimiento located in the Panama District, in the eastern area of the Metropolitan Area of Panama City. This charming community has roots dating back to the 1950s when the construction of Tocumen International Airport captured the attention of locals and gave rise to this thriving enclave.

Today, Tocumen is known as one of the most populous corregimientos in the Panama District, home to approximately 115,000 residents. Its explosive growth is largely due to the construction of various urbanizations that have transformed the landscape from its humble beginnings as a small farming village in 1972.
