The property includes an intimate sunrise garden patio, as well as a spacious viewing patio and garden with wide open 180-degree views toward Volcán Barú. The landscaping is carefully maintained, with stone pathways, planted borders, and outdoor areas that feel private and usable throughout the day.

The home also adjoins private green space, with a cobblestone path that winds through a forested hillside and leads to a rustic gazebo — a quiet extension of the setting that is difficult to find so close to town.

Downtown Boquete is approximately five minutes away by car or bus, and many of Boquete’s favorite dining spots are equally close.

Hosting and Support During Your Stay

White Heron Lodge is hosted by Sylvan and Barbara Cohen, U.S. citizens and permanent residents of Panama for the past 25 years, originally from California, Pennsylvania, and Florida. They moved to Panama in 2001 and have long-standing roots in the Boquete community.

They are also the developers of The Springs de Boquete. Sylvan currently operates Artful Endeavor BQT, a teakwood workshop and furniture gallery, while Barbara is developing and managing a seven-unit bed and breakfast in the mountains above Boquete, soon to be named The Hawk’s Nest, now under reconstruction.

Check-in is done personally, with a transfer of the key and remote control, along with a brief orientation if desired. Alternatively, guests are guided to the White Heron Lodge Guest Resource Book.

While no one is on-site 24/7, the hosts remain available during the stay and are only a WhatsApp call or message away, with the intent to respond as quickly as possible if needed.
