Panama City has been selected to host the 2025 First Global Challenge, the world’s most prestigious high school robotics competition, from October 29 to November 1. More than 190 countries will participate, bringing together students to design robots that tackle real-world challenges under the theme “Eco Equilibrium,” focused on environmental preservation.
Often referred to as the “Olympics of Robotics,” the event is a major win for Panama’s position as a hub for innovation and international collaboration. It is the result of efforts by Promtur Panamá, the Ministry of Tourism, and other national representatives who secured the bid for Panama.
Dean Kamen, founder of First Global, emphasized Panama’s strategic location and visionary spirit as key reasons for its selection.
